HUNDREDS of tube maintenance staff will stage the first in a series of 24 hour strikes from tomorrow (Fri Feb 5) at 6.45am, it has been confirmed today.
The action involves 750 London Underground members in a dispute over new rosters, what they say are breaches of agreements and the handing of work to external contractors.
Union the RMT has said the workers are critical to the running of the lines and the strike will affect all lines except Piccadilly, Norther and Jubilee line.
RMT members have been instructed not to work overtime, nor to work between 6.45am on Friday and 6.45am on Saturday (Feb 6).
Further action is to take place from 6.45am on Sunday February 14 and 6.45am on Monday February 15, and Sunday to Monday mornings until further notice.
London Underground has said it is their intention to operate a good service across the network during any industrial action.
